You know, due to the fact that it's exceptionally hard for me to get a job here, I should probably stash all the money I do get away in a shoebox or something. Under normal circumstances, I'm quite prone to hiding it all away in a book or DVD case and forgetting about it until I happen upon it again.

Unfortunately, due to my (early) birthday present being a PS2, hiding money away just isn't happening anymore. I've waited years for a PS2, sitting beside my sister on the floor and staring wide-eyed at the television screen as she played any of the several Final Fantasy games and gleefully shot at a plethora of apparently rabid animals in the Tomb Raider series. Of course, she was kind enough to let me play her PS2 every once in a while. I had plenty of fun meandering around Laura Croft's mansion and locking the butler in the freezer and getting into boss battles in FFX that I wound up needing my sister to beat anyway because I'd get so pissed off at the Magus sisters taking a "break" that I'd start to verbally cuss the girls out and have to resist the urge to toss the controler out the window.

But she never really let me play anything. The majority of the time, I had to watch, and that made me want my very own PS2 even more.

I had no idea that getting one would result in my money-stashing abilities to completely disappear. I just blew $50 on Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, a Kingdom Hearts II guidebook, and a PS2 memory card. The $8 that leaves me with is, sadly, to be used for shipping a package out on Monday. Just last Friday I purchased FFIX with a PSX memory card. Well, I would have purchased it if my step-father hadn't refused to take my money. In reality he purchased it, but whatever.

Speaking of FFIX, I can't understand why it seems to get so little love. I adore the characters and the story. In fact, I adored it so much that I repeatedly rented the game and must have started new games at least five times, as I didn't have a memory card and apparently couldn't resist the lovely piece of pixelated flesh that is Kuja.

There isn't enough Kuja/Garnet love, either. It's practically canon.

This was entirely pointless. Smiling

Yeah, I've got no idea if I'm actually ever going to make any decent blog entries here. Oh well. Big Grin
